Q: Hi, Doc! I am working on setting up workshops and have found a wealth of information through your links (as well as your book!). I wondered how to get slides made up of pictures and various other things to use as visual aids in my presentations. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated. A: Workshops are the ticket and part of the process towards success. Obviously .. any interaction with your community is the way to go. The best presentation is you being there. Obviously having some visual or written aids will only better your performance and their remembrance. Visual aids come in various forms. You can use handouts .. pamphlets ..and instructional sheets such as exercises. Since slides are very expensive .. I purchased mine from a number of sources .. David Singer has a few and you may ask Dr. Collins .. a previous student that has handouts and slides (although I have never seen them) .. he can be reached via e-mail at: urfit@aol.com I recommend you write what you feel you want to express and cut and paste pictures from magazines etc. onto plain paper. You can take these to a Kinkos and have transparencies made and purchase an inexpensive overhead projector .. less than $200. This way you can continue to change and add to your charts and overheads and still have the effect of visual aids without the expense. Have a Great Day Dr. M
