First .. many of you wanted to know about my patient e-mail newsletter. Okay .. it¼s quite 
simple .. cheap .. no stamps and with the push of a command button your internet server 
will send these e-mail office and health/chiropractic newsletters to everyone. What is even 
more impressive is that you will keep in touch with many of the folks that come when they 
choose and you heard this before „out of sight - out of mind¾ .. keep them in sight by 
monthly e-mails. Have some links to health oriented webpages .. remember that many of 
your patients and community leaders have computers of various ages and ability .. so keep 
it simple and keep the e-mails coming. First off .. have on your case history form a place 
for e-mail address. I would have a place for the home and office .. as you can send 
ergonomic and stress related e-mails that they can print up for the general office and 
indirectly market for you. Begin by asking your active patient¼s if they have an e-mail 
address. When there is sufficient numbers -- send your first one .. and keep them coming 
from there on. Have a promotion for an upcoming holiday .. a Patient Appreciation Month 
.. did you go to a recent seminar and the excitement needs to be shared .. how about your 
office .. tell them about your skills .. your services .. your staff .. let them know about 
community events .. in other words be a beacon for your community .. a happening place 
and place of wellness .. e-mails is here and will be here for the future. Use it .. it¼s cheap 
and keeps your office on their mind. Be sure to send a copy to yourself. By the way .. do 
you have a webpage .. we¼ll why not! This is a great way to keep your patient¼s and 
community aware of what¼s going on behind your office doors. If you write or scan 
articles onto your e-mails save them on your webpage and have previous and new patient¼s 
refer to this page for present and previous information. Touch base with areas within your 
„farm,¾ 5-10 miles around your office where internet literate people hang out .. libraries .. 
coffee houses, etc. Have copies of the homepage with button links to various topics .. 
they¼ll get on board .. be sure to include a counter on your page. Oh, I see  .. you have no 
idea how to create a webpage ..  well .. my son is only 13 and he can do it for you (sorry 
for the family plug .. but even a 13 yr. old has to eat) .. the price is right $50-100. If

Eons ago creation of life evolved. At the point of this cosmic boom and the flowing of juice 
called life .... the beginning of the end began. A perfect garden was trashed. Brotherhood 
beget the hood. Understanding evolved into miscommunication. Life became mangled. Is 
there a creator for this creation? Is there organization from this randomness? Is there an 
intelligence that had been misdirected? Was there interference?

As the story is told there were three wise men that were witness to this. They realized that a 
gift was being lost and set upon themselves to find a solution. As they pondered the 
question concerning the loss of human essence they each decided to find a place to hide it. 
Essence ... wisdom ... wealth ... health ... reasoning ... the movable thumb ... that which 
creation and the creator gave to us and which we had the misfortune to ruin. One wise man 
shared a great idea. He thought that life was dependent on an Innate Intelligence .. if they 
were to hide it from the grasp of man himself ... interference would be manageable and life 
would thrive. The other wise men agreed and spent weeks sharing ideas of where to hide 
this great gift. 

One wise man asked to place this intelligence on the highest peak in the world. This was a 
great idea. Man would never get close and it would be secure forever. Just as the plans 
were being prepared for this great feat the other wise man spoke. NO, he said. I foresee 
flying machines and even the highest peak will be trashed. The other wise man said lets put 
it as far below the ocean as can be. What a great idea! But no, said the third wise man .. I 
had a dream ... a foresee a machine much like a whale that will scale the depths of the 
oceans .. all will be lost there as well. Being wise beyond their means they were not to give 
in. Many days and nights past until they each looked up and without saying a word agreed 
that the answer was so near. To a man they spoke and agreed to place this intelligence deep 
within man .. as man would never look within! And to this day .. our essence .. our 
purpose ...our being is dependent upon the flow of intelligence from nerve cell to tissue 
cell organizing and transforming life itself. 

But, maybe these wise men were not as wise as we thought. Although they foresaw 
helicopters and submarines and were correct not to entrust life itself to the highest mountain 
peak or beneath the ocean floor, they should have foreseen that man would find it upon 
himself to destroy that which we have been given as a gift .. Life and Health. They may 
have wondered to themselves just how long we would allow our educated minds not to 
usurp our Innate Intelligence. How long before we were to use microchemicals to replace 
the ability to heal ourself? How long before we remove Innate Matter in bits and pieces? 
How long before we lost touch with what was and begin to manage what is?


Fortunately in small hamlets throughout the world keepers of the flame kept an idea alive. 
Many cities claimed to have had hundreds of practitioners of an old and sacred art .. 
Chiropractic. Realizing that there was more to Life and Health than Sickness and Disease 
they began to study the ancient art of deductive reasoning. They realized that emergency 
intervention was left to the inductive scientists and those of the conservative bent were well 
received. But they also knew that with continued intervention ..  man lost its soul and its 
body as a whole. They kept the flame alive until it was too late. 

As the story is told these servers of Life and Health looked from above down and from 
inside out to remove the interference that so drained the very essence of being. They 
reached deep within each person to draw this power and set it free. To wait and watch was 
a test for each keeper of the flame. Those with the power and strength to see it through 
were held to the highest esteem ... this was not a badge of honor as each person had the 
ability ... unfortunately .. as the story unfolds .. many did not use it.

Disagreement ... disharmony ... disunity .. division and loss of purpose began. Factions 
grew wider and each side looked more from without for answers and seeking answers 
where there was least resistance. Life and Health was again threatened. Stalwarts 
determined to keep the flame alive searched again to protect this truth that one day would be 
awakened.

Thus began Thoracic Park .. The Lost Idea.

Can you write the next or the final chapter? Can you draw a parallel and find chiropractic in 
this „Where is Waldo (chiropractic)¾ storybook picture? Can our educational institutions 
stall the path of least resistance and allow the truth to be told? Will we be searching .. like 
the pilgrims of the past  .. for a holy grail ... a purpose long lost? I hope not.

Go out and tell the story .. tell the truth .. quit whining about managed care .. competition 
... no insurance ... new codes .... or whatever. The story has never wavered and will 
never. Just go out and tell it!         Thoracic Park Lives!!!!!!!
