Q: I am about to have a sign built for my office. Is the telephone number important. A: Thanks for the e-mail. A sign is like any advertisement. They all have similar components. They should outline what you offer .. how easy to get it .. and how to get in touch with you. There are many chiropractors in my town Atlanta. These include many variations of sign design. Same holds true with yellow page ads. If you have a few moments open up the yellow pages and scan through the pages of ads. Which ones draw your attention. Was it the colors .. the bold print .. the highlighted areas .. the description of services .. the education of the doctor and the technics used .. whether insurance is covered or not .. what is it. I'm sure one glance or two will point your attention to the same ads .. and then again to some specific points found collectively amongst them all. So .. if you were to make a million dollar ad from these .. what components would you choose and why. Now take this to the street with cars driving by .. what would be the major components needed. I think the phone number is crucial .. some folks will take out their pens and jot it down. Number of office address (especially if free standing building) is also a must .. probably highlighted on the top. I know that when I drive don the road and am looking for an address it's hard to read them off mailboxes .. a nice large sign with a big address number will be looked at a lot. Your name is important as is the name of the clinic .. A border around it .. colorful and attractive which highlights the everything and will stand out amongst the other signs. This would be your basic non expensive sign If you have the bucks it could be lighted .. have a time and temperature digital clock .. a changeable message board .. and more. be sure it isn't cluttered. Hope this helps .. Have a Great day Dr. M
