Q: I am graduating Life in December and am sending out some resumes. I am getting conflicting advice on where to include my clinic experience from the college. Do you think it should go under ..."experience" with my other job history or should it go under "education" with the other Life university information?? Also where should I include seminars and technique clubs A: About the resume .. first who is it going to? If it's for a chiropractic position .. I would place it under education .. add something about this experience .. did you excel in clinic visits .. finish your clinic early .. whatever. If you have extra education .. such as seminars and clubs .. this should be under extra curricular programs .. the more the better. Diversity is the best and will highlight your potential contribution and present skills. Furthermore .. if you have experience in providing educational programs for patients or the community this will help greatly as well. The big picture is this ... if you are looking to associate or become an Independent Contractor .. or even need the three months for Florida .. your personal attention via phone calls or personal visits to chiropractic offices will be more effective than a cold resume in an envelope. I recommend to my class that they sell themselves as both a Case Manager and PR person and hope someone takes you on. The experience you'll gather will far outweigh the time you'll be working for peanuts. Have a Great Day Dr. M
