DC has question about GERD and reflux adjustment:

DC patient has a daughter in her twenties with a severe untreatable GERD.   She has been through every histamine blocker on the market.  Many just don't work.  She cannot make it without some form of antacid, as she has severe esophogeal/substernal pain.  Making this more urgent is that her uncle recently died (young) of gastroesophogeal cancer secondary to chronic gastritis---from this same condition.  Thus, there is an egg timer with sand running out. Does anyone have suggestions? Also, does anyone know about the maneuver use to reduce hiatal hernias. Reply to: iriscity@aol.com
