Q: I am looking for any specific workshop material that may be available for the law enforcement communities....any idea? A: Check on my webpage: http://www.mindspring.com/~chirosmart .. under weblinks .. scroll down to ergonomics .. there are some webpages .. one was for the fire dept. I am unsure if there is anything specific for the police dept. .. but what buttons would you push? Years ago .. as a student at Life .. my friend and I would provide stress mgt. classes for the Cobb County Police Dept. they are interested in avoiding general stress .. physical and emotional. They have to carry a heavy belt and get in and out of cars and act upon a moments notice .. so what buttons would you push to get their attention? Police have a high divorce rate .. probably abusive compulsive behavior habits .. smoke .. drink .. drugs. So what buttons would you push? The buttons are all the same. The first have to appreciate their physical structure .. their posture .. tone and spine (stretch exercises .. micro stretches for the neck and lower back). Next they must be aware of the physical stress they place upon themselves .. their belt .. seat in their patrol car .. how they work-out etc. I would gear my program along these lines .. police or secretary .. stress is stress .. physically the application for prevention may differ .. adapt along those lines. Also .. check in my webpage under Practice Tips .. there may be some ideas there. Also .. my Workshop Workbook has some general ideas Have a Great Day Dr. M
