Hello Dr. Margolies,
 
I am currently an associate with a buy in option in another year and a half.  My practice is 
in Canada.  Over the last 6 months I feel that this is not the opportunity that I want to take.  
My wife and I have been thinking about going on our own in the states. I have not run my 
own clinic before and I am feeling overwhelmed at what I need to do as far as who do I 
contact for new or used equipment, do I get a realtor to show me around different areas, 
etc. I know how to build a practice for someone else but now it is time to do it for myself. I 
just don't know how to start a practice.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the e-mail. First .. you need to purchase my Smart Start Book which was my 
text when I taught at LUCC to graduating class. The class was how to start a practice from 
scratch. Patient Management and Public Relations. Second .. check my webpage and look 
under Mentors. There are many that will assist you for free if you e-mail them and let them 
know you know they are a mentor via my webpage. Third .. all new and established DC¼s 
need either a coach or some stimulating timely ideas. There are various seminars 
throughout the states and probably Canada to attend. The next Karl Parker seminar is in 
February and in Las Vegas which was posted in my last e-mail is for free for you and your 
wife .. just pay for the hotel. If you wish to attend just check my previous e-mail and 
follow the posting. There also is a huge Parker Seminar seminar is January .. confusing 
but they are different. If you wish to attend the Karl Parker seminar .. I will personally 
cntact Dr. Karl to give you some personal advice. If you wish to visit Atlanta .. Dr. Pete 
Fernandez has a great seminar if which I teach. I am attaching the seminar program this 
week. He does accept clients and is especially effective with new DC¼s starting a practice. 
He is literally a coach and calls each week to be sure you are doing it right. He does charge 
a % fee but you can get details from them. If you wish to attend one of his seminars .. you

from many states and has years of experience

As far as getting started .. my book is a perfect start. Dr. Delman .. one of the mentors also 
has a book and will help you as well as many of the others found there
