Life Chiropractic College West 3-day Festival 2005, October 2729 .. E-mail message this week .. New Patients The life blood of a practice is patients. We all know that getting new ones is quite difficult but keeping those we have is even a harder chore. Weekend seminars find attentive doctors and staff clinging to ever word when the instructor mentions the magic words .. New Patients. Our basic instinct is to gyrate towards winning ideas while implementing winning procedures. Easier said than done. But maybe note. I interviewed a senior student at LUCC is hopes that she would help me service my patients better with her help. We had time to talk and my questions were straight forward, where do you want to practice upon graduation and how do you plan on practicing? The typical new graduate answer followed, I plan to associate for awhile and then open a small practice starting with no x-ray machine or chiropractic assistant. I hope I quelled some of her fears and set her straight, never program your practice for failure, even a new one with limited funds. As we continued our conversation I through a number out in the air, what it would take to make a decent living Postings: Great opportunity in Phoenix, AZ: Take over a lease. 14 months left on it and you get a free x-ray machine, processor, and big CHIROPRACTIC sign on building fascia. Hurricane Katrina News: The Mississippi Chiropractic Assn is collecting equipment, hopefully in decent shape, for DCs who need to rebuild their offices due to the damage from Hurricane Katrina. If you have equipment would like to donate it, please email ARathb1745@aol.com or call 601- 924-464 with your name, phone number, location and the piece or pieces of equipment you would like to donate. They will compile a list of equipment and try to match up the DCs with the available inventory via email once they get a list of equipment. The ICA is also working to assist and support doctors of chiropractic in the stricken areas who have had their practices wiped out in the storm, impacting tens of thousands of people in urgent need of chiropractic care. Dr. David Eugster, ICAıs Assembly Representative in Louisiana, has estimated that 20 to 25 percent of Louisiana DCs have had their practice locations put out of service. If you wish to contribute directly to efforts to bring chiropractic to the stricken areas, you may send your donations to ICA. 100 percent of those donations will go directly to re-establish chiropractic facilities and support the delivery of emergency chiropractic care.
