Good morning! 6-1-00  (Florida Bill)

Hope this note finds you well! Due to drug money buying our 
legislators, medical freedom is almost history. A new threat to it 
looms in bill HB 591. A quick, anonymous call to 850 -  488-4441 
will easily let the governor know its time to STOP. I called this 
morning  and it only took about 30 seconds. Our voices need to be 
heard NOW or soon-the only "solution" to health problems will be 
drugs! (The number 4 KILLER in America) Please read and call!!

We have just been made aware that the legislative Session currently 
in session passed a bill HB 591 to provide a broad interpretation to 
legally charge the practice of many forms of natural healing and 
naturopathy as a criminal act.  This is a violation of our 9th 
amendment Rights to have the privilege to practice and receive 
natural forms of healing we feel aligned
to pursue.  This bill beginning in Florida, if passed, will like a brush 
fire spread to other states.  It is parallel to the AMTA  (American  
Massage Therapy Association) now posing legislation in 7 more 
states to make hands on healing a practice of massage.  5 states 
have passed this ruling in the past several months.  Only 2 states 
have been prevented - and this by the
participation of the public and concerned citizens of many states, 
not just the state the action was taking place.
I have personally contacted the office of Governor Jeb Bush by phone 
this morning asking that he VETO this Bill.  I ask that you do the 
same today.  I also ask that you forward this email to everyone on 
your email list and ask that they call the Governor.  We must stand 
united or we stand to loose our rights and privileges to have 
freewill choice. It takes email 3 weeks or more to be read by the 
Governor, per the automatic response I received to my email sent 
last night. You need only to state your desire to have Bill HB 591 
Vetoed. The operator will ask where you are calling from.  They do 
not ask your name (they have that simply by the fact that you call).  
It will only cost you a few cents
to preserve our freedom.

We do need everyone's support to Stop "big Business'" and their 
power to fund laws from taking our Constitutional Rights away.
Just so you will understand the breadth of this Bill, I will excerpt 
from the letter we received from the Coalition for Natural Healing in 
the mail yesterday: ..under the penalty of 3rd degree Felony with a 
Schedule 7 sentencing structure.  The unlicensed practice of 
naturopathy, if signed by the Governor, will carry criminal penalties 
equal to DUI resulting in serious bodily harm, aggravated stalking 
and impregnation of a child under 16 years
of age by a person 21 years of age or older. The practice of 
"naturopathy" is currently defined in Florida Statures as, "... the use 
and practice of psychological, mechanical, and material health
services to aid in purifying, cleansing, and normalizing human 
tissues for the preservation or restoration of health, according to 
the fundamental principles of anatomy, physiology, and applied 
psychology, as may be required. Naturopathic practice employees, 
among other agencies, physiotherapy, dietetics, psychotherapy, 
suggestotherapy, zone therapy, biochemistry, external applications, 
electrotherapy, mechanotherapy, mechanical and electrical 
appliances, hygiene, first aid, sanitation and heliotherapy;..."  This 
could cover everything from non-diagnostic iridology to nutrition.
This Bill has broad powers of interpretation and allows the state to 
consider any natural practice they deem naturopathic in nature or 
within the perimeters of this Bill to be a practice there of.
