Q: Hey doc, quick question. My office is located next door to a dentist and I spoke with him about doing some marketing together. I was thinking about having him send a letter to all of his patient with some type of recommendation for his patients to visit my office and I would do the same with my patient list. My question is, would you happen to have a letter for this purpose? Or is there a way that could make this effective that you may have come across in the past. He is willing to do it, he just wants to see some type of template letter. I figured it would benefit both of us. He gets to do something nice for his patients, and I get to take care of some new people. I am just trying to figure out the nicest way to accomplish this. Any suggestions are welcomed. A: The best way to incorporate an alliance with a healthcare provider is just what you intended to do. Share patient labels. Also .. what you also intended to do with them is perfect .. creating a mutual newsletter with various health issues which are generic for both. You can have the first and fourth pages (create it with two letter sized pages and fold them so it is a four page newsletter) will be specific to each of you. Have the first page full of Office and Chiropractic news .. bios of the staff and pending events. Same for the dentist. The last page .. is full of pictures relating to your professions If you wish to send a one page letter .. this will work as well .. but you might as well get as much for the buck with a newsletter Dear Patient and Friend, This mutual letter is an introduction to the offices of Drs. ____ and _____.
