Can You Do It All During last week's LUCC Homecoming, I was working on my Cleveland presentation and Dr. Suzanne sitting besides me asked if it was possible for one doctor to implement all the programs I was writing about, well, most likely not. A successful marketing and public relations program requires constant nurturing and a person dedicated to tweaking and following through to see each component through. For example, a few days ago I presented my Stress Management PowerPoint program to a large local corporation. It took awhile to make this happen and I wasn't going to leave the building without locking in months of future programs. So, we came prepared with a calendar to fill with future lunch and learn program dates months into the future. The program would vary from Stress Management to Ergonomics and from Nutrition and Weight Management to Exercise at the Workstation. Since I created thirteen programs already, there was plenty to share with them. Each program stood on its own and would benefit their employees and my constant being there would only gain my credibility, benefiting my bottom line with increased new patients and their referrals. Since the program was well received, we left the building locking in three months of two classes per month. But, to implement this and expand it to other buildings in the area using their employee base for potential new patients takes planning and someone dedicated to see it happen. Think about it, if every week you were providing a lunch and learn and a health fair and screening here and there, what numbers would you be putting up. This doesn't include the referrals you would generate and the regular new patients that trickle in. Can you and one CA do the job, probably, but as a baby step with one foot in front of each other falling and righting yourself just as a new baby makes progress day by day. To take the giant step and huge leaps it takes a PR person dedicated to the task. Do you have time to present these programs or better yet, the confidence and presence to do them? Doctor, do you even have new patient spinal orientations for your patients? If the answer is no, you have to find someone and hiring the right person is the trick. Rather than hiring through desperation and throwing good money down the proverbial drain, it's best to take time interviewing and choosing wisely. I wish I could provide you with the wisdom to do this, but sadly, I am in the same boat as you. Finding someone confident and competent is the trick and the goal. Someone having the time and wisdom to take the ball and run with it through the goal post or slam dunk through the hoops on a regular basis. Someone interested in reaching and exceeding their goals and possibly motivated by monetary gain with each goal being met. They are out there, but first you must decide if you wish to take your practice to the next level being able to sustain it with sound patient and practice management procedures. Also, are you strong enough to see more patients, both adjusting and examining as well as providing strong reports and leading them to maintaining their spinal care while bring their spouse, children, family and friends. Yep, it takes time and skill but you can do it or have fun trying. One step has been created for you. If you have no educational presentations, look at my PowerPoint slide presentations. They can be viewed at my webpage: www.chirosmart.net/shop and for the next two weeks only, you can purchase two for one. Each program is normally $50, a steal, but until November 16, you can purchase two for the price of one, four for the price of two .. you get my drift. These are all downloaded after a secure credit card payment. You need to place the word newsletter as the promotional code. I also have some practice management books for sale, take a peek.
