We are committed to excellence and an environment for seeing your life change. We are delighted that you have the benefits of an insurance policy. However, due to reasons listed below, we will no longer be accepting assignment from your insurance policy. If you wish to continue insurance reimbursement, full payment will be made to our office. When payments are made we will then provide you the necessary form to submit for direct reimbursement. Because this is more efficient, we will be LOWERING our normal office fee from $45 to $35. Plans outside of insurance will continue to be available. Why this change and why now? 1) The insurance contract is between the insurance company, the employer and you. The doctor is not part of that loop, so our inquires into a carrier are not received with the same response as when you make the inquiry. Also, when you file your own claim, the turnaround time is much faster than when we are in the middle. 2) The primary objective of an insurance company is to make a profit for it¼s shareholders. Our primary objective is to help enhance your health and life through specific chiropractic care. 3) Insurance carriers are more profitable by limiting procedures and coverage. We are committed to „optimal health¾ which means we cannot do anything less for you than we would want for ourselves. Optimum health requires us to provide you with the best and most complete specific chiropractic care possible...Without compromise. 4) We are committed to a policy of excellence, whereas the insurance carrier is committed to a standard of adequacy. There is a significant difference. They are committed to what is „average¾ (usually called „reasonable and customary¾) and we are committed to the attainment of the „exceptional¾! 5) The fees which are acceptable to the insurance carrier are based on the carriers standard of average service. We are dedicated to exceptional service. The frequency of care that we may recommend may not always agree with what a carrier thinks you need. We will not compromise. 6) Insurance is constantly changing. With over 500 companies and policy variations to monitor, we are not able to focus on you. That is our goal...Your service. We want you serve you, not chase insurance company policy. This change will allow us to serve you, and all patients, even better. Please know that in our office nothing will ever happen without your full and informed consent. You will always know in advance the cost associated with your chiropractic care. We will always be available to you for discussion of any aspect of your care. We want you to continue to receive excellent care. With this policy in our office we will be able to put our resource toward providing you and your family with the best specific chiropractic care possible. Thank you
