Q: Here's a question for you. What if you think that trying to get your own practice up and running is not for you? Then what are your options? After all, we have a lot of knowledge. There must be other options for those of us without the stamina and the money to get one going from scratch. Perhaps you think this is an idle question; it is not. There are many D.C.'s who are talking about this and many are going back to old professions. I think they still have options within the chiro realm. What do you think? A: Thanks for the e-mail. Unfortunately there is never a right answer for a wrong question. Rather than offering advice to change course after all your years of college and present skills .. I¼d rather re- orient your present position towards the goals you set while going to chiropractic school. Can you find happiness and success on the perimeter of chiropractic .. I imagine you can .. teaching .. being an associate or exam doctor .. marketing for a DC or DC¼s .. or joining some healthcare group as a chiropractic member. The rest is left to your imagination. So .. to continue where I opened .. there is never a right answer for a wrong question .. I¼d rather like to read why you find it difficult to get started .. what you have done since graduation (pro and con) where you feel you have your strengths and where you feel you got screwed from others or circumstances .. and what if anything made you lose your stamina. This is not a critical reply .. just trying to possibly help you right he course. If hope I gave you some advice .. possibly not what you wanted to hear .. but spend a few moments answering my questions above so I can assist you further Have a Great Day Dr. M
