There are factious areas within our ranks but overall we usually work together for the 
common good. Some doctors and staff share their knowledge and promotional programs 
with others. Parker members are encouraged to carry the excitement of each seminar with 
regional brown bag meetings. Years ago all new attendees to Parker seminars were given a 
brown attaché case. They were called brown baggers.  Many of these doctors put aside 
regional competition and met with the collective staff of fellow chiropractors and worked 
together to promote chiropractic and answer the lingering questions that every office has. 
Possibly your state or district association offers monthly meetings to discuss business and 
share the wealth of knowledge amongst members. If this sounds good and you are not 
participating then either jump on board with what is available or start your own. If I am not 
mistaken, guidelines for this type of sharing meetings can be obtained from either the ACA 
or ICA. If they are at a loss for material, first question why and then search for some 
within your area. Check the Parker folks and see if they can alert you to regional brown 
bag meetings or individuals that organize such. If you are a client or seminar member of 
one of our many seminar instructors, be it practice management or technique, ask them to 
alert other members within your community to share on a timely basis. School clubs 
offered you the freedom to learn and chat and often watch a pro at his or her craft. Time 
since college should not be wasted it is as important to continue to learn and chat. Friends, 
as doctors and business professionals, we are truly investors sharing our skill and then 
being rewarded with commerce and trade. There is always time to invest in knowledge.
