September 3, 2003 Do not wait for leaders to do it; do it alone person-to-person. -Mother Teresa Dedication, discipline and drive, these are qualities that are necessary for success. They are certainly qualities to change the world. I have just returned from speaking at the largest gathering of chiropractors ever in the southern hemisphere. The first Parker Australia was an awesome event, brought on by the purpose, dedication, discipline, and drive of Fabrizio Mancicni, his staff, John and Judy Hinwood and their logistic team, and the team teachers. I have received so many emails and cards from Australia about how that seminar has impacted lives. I am so thankful to have been a part of that event. What can you do today to accomplish your goals, increase your practice, decrease your stress and enjoy life more? First your goals and dreams must really be your goals and dreams (not imposed by someone else or something you believe you should do). Second being on purpose, dedicated, disciplined and driven is what it takes to be successful in accomplishing those goals and dreams. Think back to a time when you actually set a goal and accomplished it, you will discover that you had a purpose and that you made up your mind to accomplish it. Because you made up your mind, you were absolutely dedicated to do what it took to accomplish the goal. Success in your relationships, your practice and other business ventures, finances, health, spirituality, all require being on purpose, dedication, discipline and drive. Successful people do what needs to be done even when they do not want to do it. To decrease your stress and increase your level of success follow the following nine success tips. SUCCESS TIPS 1) Make your dreams a reality by planning. State your intentions, write read, and say out loud your top five goals and your purpose at least once a day. 2) Strengthen who you are by nourishing your mind and spirit. Pray, meditate, and or visualize each day for at least 10 minutes. 3) Improve your practice by having a powerful team on your side. Train, acknowledge, support, and focus them on the effective procedures, priorities, goals, and purpose. 4) Take massive daily action toward your goals and purpose by scheduling your priorities only. 5) Contribute to your well being by working out each day and eating properly. 6) Double your productivity by reading and studying at least 10-30 minutes daily. Master the fundamentals of practice as a first priority. Be willing to grow and challenge yourself. 7) Be the master of your state and a master state inducer. Controlling your internal environment creates your external environment. Do not indulge in negative emotions or behaviors. Use whatever it takes, a coach, mastermind group, gratitude lists, books, CD's and tapes, music or motion. Know your anchors and use them. 8) Continually focus on service and contribution. 9) Be persistent, change the strategy but not the goals.
