Q: 10-5-98 I am planning to practice in Florida. I will be graduating in June 1999. Do you have any information on writing chiropractic resumes in a way to properly market myself in order to get an internship? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. A: Thanks for the e-mail. Good question and an often asked one as well. As you will pick up this quarter in class .. there is more to interning with a doctor than doing exams .. or even a few adjustments a day. For the benefit of yourself and the doctor you'll be working for it's a great idea to be a case manager and PR person. In this capacity .. you'll be doing exams .. discussing procedures with patients .. attracting referrals and reactivation .. promoting internal excitment with patient and community projects . . as well as doing a good deal of PR on the outside. So .. put this on a resume or what I call an Intention to Implement program and any DC would be crazy not to hire you. After your three month gig .. move on with loads of practical experince to create your own successful office. A typical resume of your life in school .. is too mundane .. Jazz it up with the stuff above ...draw an outline and let's go over it together Dr. M
