Many of you have asked if I do private consulting and the answer is yes .. but limited. Being in an active practice for over 20 years and teaching a dynamic class at Life University, School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia has left me with little precious time for my family and self. I am dedicated to the wellness and growth of our profession and have made time available for either individual or group consulting. The fees and services will be outlined below.

• Purpose Statement: As an instructor at Life University, College of Chiropractic, Marietta, Georgia - to 14th quarter students ready to graduate and enter the world of healthcare and business, I attempt to lessen their shock with a motivational marketing and public relations course. I wrote a book that goes along with the class called Smart Start.
• The Smart Start Book $59.95 is a convenient and cost effective means to create chiropractic awareness within and outside your office. There are 241 pages written within eight chapters each with a theme centered around practice management and promotion. Each step is clearly outlined and has been used by over 1000 students and field DC's since 1995. • Smart Start the Disk: Documents found in the Smart Start Book is available in the Macintosh and Windows format .... The advantage of this disk is simple ... rather than scanning or re-writing the practical ideas, letters, survey's, financial worksheets, narrative report, etc., just place the document in your word processing program and change it at will. Add your personal letterhead and make subtle to drastic changes as you wish. The cost of $25 is a steal.
• Chiropractic Public Relations and Marketing Book: This book is meant to cross train your staff and allow them to assist in practice growth .. Learn the secrets of retention, referrals, and motivation. Step by step methods to create a Community Health Network, survey your patients, review patient retention and reactivation, provide in and out of office workshops are reviewed. But, you the doctor must assist the staff to make this happen .. you are the only thing missing in this text ..cost $35
• Workshop Slides, Overheads and Handouts: These timely slides can be used in presentations for corporations, as well as patient orientation, wellness programs etc. Focus is on Ergonomics and Wellness .. • Smart Start Seminar:

  I appreciate this opportunity to discuss my weekend program. As you may be aware, I taught this material for over three years at Life University and have written the text Smart Start which is a resource for practice management and public relations. • Smart Start Consulting

  : I've been asked by many of my students if I would be their consultant. Practice management fees can be very high and the cost of traveling from your city along with your staff can be overwhelming and expensive. Obviously, for students presently in my class at Life University .. my time is free. I encourage them to take advantage of it .. too often they don't. Paying attention while a student is difficult .. at least the mindset is. But, their professional career may depend on it ... and often it does. Many of you reading this have taken my class, or classes similar in your own school and understand that the mentality of a student is always the same: graduate .. open the office door .. have loads of happy paying patients .. go home to a wonderful and loving life. Let's hope .... But often the student, as well as the field doctor, have limited knowledge of the business aspects of managing a practice .. training and maintaining staff .. retaining those patients they have and generating new ones under the umbrella of proper ethics and responsibility. In this regard, and after numerous calls for help, I have decided to entertain a limited number of private clients (for lack of a better term), as well as making time available for group consulting. Being creative, the following programs are available for a limited time:

• Private Consulting: This program is limited to just a few. The doctors I will assist must be motivated to go out and walk their beat and generate the interest in healthcare through chiropractic. There will be a $1000 start up fee, and $100 a month for a 6-12 month "contract" period. Services will include a one day weekend seminar every three months for all clients .. including their staff. Seminars will be held in Atlanta, guests can come for $350 and $50 per staff member .. with this fee being applied to their start up fee if they wish to get on board. Monthly fees include limited telephone consultations and personal support per month, downloading material via e-mail or fax and limited time necessary to get you up and running the most successful practice you wish to have. Remember, most consultants promise you the moon and deliver little. I do not promise anything but my best advice .. motivation and practical advice as you can see in my e-mails. For those interested in this service .. remember I am limiting the number which will be fair to me and you .. so those interested get on board soon.
• Creation of Demographic Farm: Spend four hours reviewing your office location and creating a marketing program for the next 3-6 months. Fee for this service is $500 plus expenses.
• In-Office Consultations and Training: This program allows me to spend a day in your office, whether new or established and review the practice in action. Consultations will be made with each staff member and advice will be provided on the spot and in written form at a later date. Staff training is also provided if requested. Fee for the one day .. in-office consulting .. is $1200 plus expenses as outlined above. Staff training is an additonal $500.
