Office space for rent in Marble Falls, TX .. DC seeking information on mobile chiropractic in Ga E-mail message this week .. reflection The New Year is just around the corner and its time to reflect on what woulda, coulda and shoulda. Reflection is always a healthy exercise. Time to focus on past resolutions and goals. Best to determine weakness to avoid future failures. Better to bolster areas than be disappointed and later burnt out. Better yet, itıs time to analyze and plan assurances so next year will be better. Remember we are a business driven industry. As such, we need to meet goals and profit from our work. Every action stimulates a reaction and for us it should be new patients, maintained patients, committed staff and a community that appreciates your learned professional skills all while profiting and accumulating the wealth you deserve. As I reflect upon this past year I look at my financial spreadsheet and smile that I have more black than red. I frown when plans are laid out and so many were either dashed or put aside. Reflecting on this is also a healthy exercise. Why was a plan in the thought stage only to be set aside? Who was responsible to implement the plan and was it well thought out? Was I lazy and brushed away the enthusiasm of others allowing good ideas to go fallow? Did I seek help prior to recreating the wheel or was my ego so fragile that asking for help was beneath me? Was I budgeting time and money or was it getting out of hand that dropping a project was more profitable than going through with it? A lot to ponder but reflecting on these questions help make future plans work. A good idea should be nurtured and allowed to bloom and not to die on the vine. Reflection is good. I also reflect on my strengths and weaknesses. We are the sole reason for success or failure. Our ability to lead sets the tone and stimulates the process. Was I weak not to follow through and was I the one that signed off? Did I agree to an idea that I later never implemented? You name it, patient lectures, community projects, internal promotions, holiday events, referral concepts, staff education, seminar weekends, honing my technical skills, writings and more. You bet, on reflection I failed. But to be fair, I did have my strengths Š.. let me think. I refuse to make a New Year resolution since it usually lasts a week or so. Instead I will make some promises. I promise to reflect on this past year and plan better for the new one. I promise to ask for help and share my ideas and goals with many rather that hoarding it all to myself. I promise to take baby steps while venturing in new waters rather than jumping in and floundering to stay afloat. I promise to lay out plans and ideas so enough time and money can be set aside. I promise to streamline office procedures and purchase wisely to help the bottom line. I promise to give of myself without draining me. I hope to have fun doing it all. As you reflect, fill in the blanks Š. Next week may bring in the New Year but itıs just another day.
