TO: All Palmer Students FROM: Dr. Guy Riekeman RE: Survey DATE: Oct. 21, 2000 A major issue facing today's chiropractors is the question of D.C.s prescribing drugs as part of their patient services, even though this runs counter to what generations of chiropractors have been taught and have come to believe throughout their educations and careers. Our reputation as non-invasive, non-drug-related caregivers is jeopardized by this new trend of thinking. It is time for us to speak out. The American Chiropractic Association's Family Practice Council is conducting a survey of chiropractors and chiropractic students to better understand the thinking of the profession. Please take a few moments to answer the five questions, then mail or fax it to Clint Publications at the address listed on the bottom of the survey. Please do not ignore your responsibility to the future of chiropractic. Let the public know that Palmer people value our history and reputation too much to alter our long-charted and successful course. Thanks very much. To take the survey please visit the Beacon at the following web address. Print it out and fax it to the number listed below. http://www.qconline.com/beacon/1000/survey.htm
