E-mail message this week .. Plant Your Community Seeds

Last week I presented my Senior Safety and Aging Gracefully PowerPoint presentation to 
eleven patients and their guests in my office. Tuesday, I presented a Material Handlers and 
Lifting ergonomics program to 27 employees at SAMS and in a few weeks will present a 
Stress Management program to a Sears Distribution center. In two weeks, wečll be at a 
corporate Health Fair, where besides screening for postural imbalance with my Associate 
by Foot Leveler and taking their digital picture using a PosturePro program, I will set aside 
time to offer a Lunch and Learn Staying Fit While You Sit presentation highlighting the 
dangers found at the typical computer workstation. This afternoon an office manager from 
a local internist called after receiving my packet introducing our office, chiropractic and 
myself. What stimulated this call was a six-slide per page handout of my Nutrition 
PowerPoint program. I wanted the local physicians we sent these packets to, to know that 
our office is a Health and Wellness center and can be a team member along with them in the 
wellness of their patients. The office manger wanted to know if I charged a fee for these 
classes, no, and if we accept insurance for their patient referrals, yes. She, along with the 
other doctors in my neighborhood will shortly receive timely sent handouts of my other 
programs such as Healthy Bones, Headaches, Allergies and Arthritis presentations, as well 
as others and those I will create to show them my solid base of education and knowledge. 
Prior to her hanging up she made an appointment for herself. 

Spring is just around the corner. Community seeds planted for your continued success now 
will bloom within a few weeks or months. The contacts made today leads to further 
contacts, more potential patients and increases corporate and healthcare provider 
networking. A conscientious gardener plots his garden on paper then frames where he or 
she intends to plant their seeds. Clearing the area of weeds (past marketing mistakes) and 
making sure that attention is paid to maintain their hard work usually leads to bountiful 
harvest of flowers and fruit. Choose your marketing boundaries and begin the framing of 
where and who needs your attention. 

Your best purchase will be a projector. Their costs are down but the residual effect of 
continued patient and community programs will sustain you for months and years to come.
