When we do an Open House, we do it over a month's time. In fact, we let folks know we're going to have a Patient Appreciation Day (or whatever) next month. Usually, the last Saturday of that month is Patient Appreciation Day. For the entire month leading up to the PAD, every new patient and every patient that refers a new patient gets their name put on a ticket for a drawing. On PAD, either after a lay lecture or before the festivities end, the drawing is held. We've given away a 27" color TV, an exercise bike, cervical pillows, massage certificates, dinners for two, gift certificates and Atlanta Braves tickets. We've gotten as many as 50 new patients from these events. It gets patients involved, allows us to check a lot of potential patients and spizz up the staff. We try to do 2-3 of these a year around different themes. Patient Appreciation Day, Toys for Tots, and something in the Fall. We're doing Pokemon month & day next month. I'll let you know how that goes.
