Hey CHIROPRACTORS!!!

Do you know what is going on down here in Marietta?  WE HAVE LOST 
OUR 
ACCREDITATION!!!!  Yes, that is what I said. We are in an appeals 
process and 
maintain under the umbrella of accreditation until that appeals 
process is 
over which could last as long as until October or as short as about 
61 days.  
This has been a crazy week here at school! The hearing was held on 
Friday, it 
was 1hr. 15min long and they spent 40 minutes discussing an 
addendum.  Of the 
14 reps sent not one was asked a single question, not even the ones 
in the 
CCE's specified areas of concern.  On Monday they announced the 
decision and 
everyone was surprised.   As of right now things are beyond sketchy 
and we as 
a student body are left feeling out of the loop. The school has made 
some 
unbelievable changes - we know because we were there and had to 
make them, 
and as far as all the paperwork, requests and responses show we did 
everything, the school complied with every request and yet it was 
still 
denied.  There is some "X" factor that is really controlling this whole 
situation.  We need to make sure that we find out what is going on 
and not 
get caught up in all the different opinions and control issues that 
are 
flying around here.  

This is a very important time for chiropractic, especially 
subluxation based 
chiropractic.  Life U. is the first of all the subluxation based schools 
to 
come up for accreditation all the rest come up within the next 2 
years.  The 
CCE is in a huge place of power right now and NOT ONE MEMBER 
SUPPORTS 
SUBLUXATION BASED chiropractic.  Life U. has been trying to get a 
rep. on 
that board for years!  11 times we have been denied.  Subluxation 
based 
chiropractic is at a turning point in history and we hope that you are 
all 
aware of what is going on!!!!  If they can get Life U. to re-write its 
literature to remove subluxation and adjustment from the 
curriculum then we 
are on our way to following the paths of the osteopaths and 
becoming just 
another branch of medicine!  Don't kid yourselves this is an 
important time 
in chiropractic history!!!  Of course, all the politics involved don't 
help!! 
 There are plenty of people out there who believe it's time for Dr. Sid 
to 
step down and there are many that are attempting to get that to 
happen.  That 
is really not the appropriate focus at this time.  WE HAVE LOST OUR 
ABILITY 
TO BE THE CHIROPRACTORS WE WANT TO BE!  What school  is next?  
When will the 
laws change against our favor?  WE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION!  

Please don't take your place of security for granted.  It has been a 
long 
time since chiropractic was actually at the forefront of the fight 
for 
subluxation and yet that is exactly where we find ourselves!  Please 
contact 
your local senators and congressmen and women!!!  As a student body 
we are 
working hard to let them know what is going on down here in 
Marietta.  We 
have a rally planned for this afternoon at 2:30 to drive down to the 
Lucky 
Street Clinic and march from the clinic through Centennial Park, 
past the CNN 
building, to the regional office of the Department of Education.  This 
is 
YOUR Call to action!!  Don't let this opportunity to stand up for what 
you 
believe in pass you by!! Life University needs your help!!!  The 3300 
STUDENTS need your help!!! THE FAMILIES of these students NEED 
YOUR HELP!!!
