E-mail message this week .. Elimination Diet

Want to determine if you are sensitive to an allergen, then the elimination diet is for you. 
Stop eating food groups that are known to irritate and after a few weeks of detoxing your 
system reintroduce them one by one, Eventually you will find the culprit and rid it for 
good. Well, what about your practice. Have you decided to do a similar elimination diet 
to ward off the evil spirits that plague your success and existence. So true, there are parts 
of the whole that suck the life and breath of your forward movement but it may be so 
embedded that only precise review will fetch it forward.

Doctor, it's time. Time to determine which areas of practice life has none. Are you in 
such denial that a staff member or patient's very existence in your office drives the 
negativity quotient sky high? Doctor, it's time. Time to ask the deep questions and review 
if productivity sucks because there is complacency, unforgiving poor service and patients 
that leave confused with no direction from you the director. Doctor, it's about time to 
turn it around.

Turn it around is as difficult as stopping a down hill vehicle while speeding through a 
rainstorm. At this point you may be able to turn it around, but even then, righting your 
office while salvaging the good from the bad is difficult at best. The goal is fanciful 
productizing with all cylinders in gear and ready to go. But with excessive baggage of 
non-productive office procedures, non-productive marketing events, non-productive staff 
ownership of their position and most important a non-productive doctor just going 
through the paces day by day the chore and result is difficult at best. 

Begin today by an review of procedures and patient/practice management. Write down 
the obvious overt blocks and with staff assistance get a pulse of the practice. Review a 
number of patients, those that stayed for their care schedule and those that jumped ship 
and determine where the breech of procedures, education and value was missed. 

This begins the elimination diet and a detoxing of your practice
