Keep reading to find out what chiropractic leader has admitted to making a mistake! Clinical Tip: In target shooting, you are taught to keep your eye on the target. I recommend to my clients that they apply this same concept to their patients care. The initial report should leave the patient feeling confident that they know what the expected outcome of the care will be (the target). Then each visit should focus on moving the patients health incrementally toward that target. And each visit should remind the patient what the expected target is, how it will be measured, and when it will be measured again. If you need more information on how to accomplish this, contact me at drjoe@chiro-connect.com . I also encourage you to visit the web site ( http://www.chiro- connect.com) and link to the Latest News and Research. Currently featured are articles on blood pressure and adjustments, PPPP, and a new product release from Clarus Consulting. Administrative Tip: One of the most common mistakes I see doctors make is they have no written financial policy. The financial policy is used for giving patients choices about how to rake care of their care, but it is also used to train new staff about the options available to patients. If you need a written financial policy, you can get an editable example in (MS Word) by visiting www.chiro-connect.com and choosing the „Success Tools¾ link. Marketing Tip: Are you still using a photo with a suit and tie or „doctor clothes¾ in your ads? The best ads I have seen recently are candid casual photos with non-clinical text. The best reference I¼ve seen on this is from Bob Manna and his Killer Ads program http://www.thekillerads.com/ . (unsolicited recommendation) E-mail me if you need more info at drjoe@chiro-connect.com . Associate Tip: Have you thought about adding an associate and „sharing¾ the patients instead of having individual practices? DON¼T do it!! There are reasons why a shared practice is a practice that will shrink. Let me know if you need more info (drjoe@chiro-connect.com) I recommend my Successful Associate Program as a way to be sure all aspects of the relationship are discussed in advance. You can't think of it all, so use my system as a checklist and increase the odds of success. NOTE: You can list any positions you are wanting to fill, list a practice for sale, or find a preceptor all for free on www.chiro-connect.com . Currently: Doctors needing an associate 15 Need Preceptor 5 Need a Job 4 Research Update: A large database of research on all aspects of spinal dysfunction, nerve interference, muscle pathology, and much more can be accessed with your FREE membership from our home page at http://www.chiro- connect.com/ . It clears away misconceptions and benefits collectively or solely.¾ Andrew Isaacs, DC Comments from the last newsletter: Who are you and what is Clarus Consulting? Find the answer on the home page at www.chiro-connect.com and choose the „Latest News and Research¾ link. Who admitted a mistake? Answer: It was Bill Esteb in his recent newsletter. He admitted that maybe using big words with patients (i.e. kinesiopathology) wasn¼t the best way to educate patients. His new products educate patients without all the big words. I haven¼t seen them yet but I¼ve always respected Bill Esteb and I respect him even more since he showed the integrity of going public with his change of opinion. See Bill¼s site at www.patientmedia.com. Until next time... (watch for the release of our NEW Staff Training CD-ROM to teach each new staff member the fundamentals of chiropractic practice and save the doctor from having to repeat the same information unnecessarily) Clearly, Dr. Joe Siragusa Clarus Consulting and http://www.chiro-connect.com/
