Postings this week: Practice for sale in Loganville, Ga .. Learn everything a chiropractor needs to build a Personal Injury practice .. Chiropractic Office Uniform Guide .. Everything you need to start a practice E-mail message this week .. Be All That You Could Be If I am not mistaken, this is the recruiting slogan for the US Army. As a veteran myself, I must admit that my three years in did help me mature and after a stint overseas, allowed my eyes to open wider to a far richer world than was offered at home. So, doctors, are you all that you could be? Writing these weekly e-mails is my way of listening to that wee voice within and writing out my thoughts. You have a free access pass to my concerns, thoughts and solutions. Granted, of the over 5700 chiropractors in 35 countries receiving these weekly some delete prior to reading, some, like yourself, read the message while others skim through the postings and if the message topic seems of interest, read on. Nonetheless, if you read this far, the question still remains, are you all that you could be? Look around your office, is this what you envisioned when you were a student and after graduation? Were you destined to be an associate, independent contactor, owner of a solo or multi-doctor practice and are you satisfied or just getting by? No critique here, just some deep thinking of the trials and tribulations you have been through. I look back with few regrets, my mistakes were never costly and decisions rendered could have been wiser but I have had fun along the way but always with friends and mentors. Guidance is paramount and coaching is crucial in our economic environment. The lone doctor attempting to maneuver around the minefields of practice life is a lone wolf for sure. Many have made a go of it but many more floundered. To be all you could be, you must pay the dues required. In the case of the army, it's to join, be trained, mingle amongst peers and be part of history, honor and respect. As a chiropractor, to be all that you could be, you must also pay yours dues by joining like minded doctors and increasing your technical, esoterical and managerial skills. The lone doctor understanding the periphery of knowledge can never be all they could be because it was never explored in total and only enabled through fine tuned professional events. We need each other as partners in health and wellness asking and receiving advice and guidance. Doctor, give thought to this, our professional and personal goals should be the same, prosper and grow. We mingle amongst many souls while our gifts help make them whole. In return we are provided what we reap.
