From: Dr. Margolies .. 6-12-09 www.chirosmart.net www.chirosmart.net/shop http://boards.chirosmart.net Note: Had another great evening during an Atlanta EPOC meeting. Docs there heard Dr. Tony Polermo discuss practice management and personal achievement as a pro plays golf, with ease. There are basic concepts that take the guesswork out of success; we just need a reminder now and then. If you practice in the metro Atlanta area, I recommend you contact Dr. Brad Anchors, who coordinates these meetings and has scheduled a whirlwind of great speakers for the rest of this year at purposedc@gmail.com He will provide future dates and registration information for you and your staff. Also, ask him for locations of other EPOC meetings throughout the country. Posting this week: Licensed associate wanted in Sandy Springs, Atlanta office .. Office coverage in Georgia .. Alumni News Life University, has an active alumni program, I was in the class of 1978. As with most schools their program strives to reach more alumni providing networking, matching docs with opportunities, keeping up with CE credit programs and used as a base for financial support and as a referral source for new students. This is further enhanced with on-line services, facebook entries and more. If you are a Life graduate, please read their message below the posting today. A lot is going on for us alumni. We veterans know that years within the womb of Chiropractic College was only a taste of what was needed in the real world. Every practice differs by location, philosophy and finesse of the doctor, staff coaching and some luck based on proper choices. But a common thread that binds us together is simply the will to succeed. Success not only pays the bills but also creates more for you to give and share providing fodder for new DC recruits starting out. Alumni associations must be a well of information with doctor and teacher blogs, regional practice tips and general answers to challenges facing many who previously walked through those corridors of learning. Leaving no graduate behind must be the credo, as precise as a military mission; no graduate should be left in the battlefield. This is not too far a leap, real time practice is similar to a field of battle for community minds, patient and insurance payments, patient awareness, practice and staff management, technical updates, public relations and marketing as well as the daily hurdles bringing success your way. Again it's not by luck one succeeds and the other struggles, it is by design and choices. Having a full deck of knowledge while walking within the successful path of others gets us to the goal for sure. Now let's take it to our alumni, our present and past patients. Those we have helped in the past and not returned. Do you have an active program for them. A monthly e- newsletter, active website with various resources and a recall system reminding them to maintain their health and wellness. Be creative and promote your office via timely patient events and workshops bringing your alumni back for more knowledge and care. Create an active resource for community jobs and events, especially in our present economic climate, allowing your alumni to reach these folks because you cared. It endears them to you and results in referrals and more. An alumnus is not a person lost in space. Be as creative as a your graduating school seeking to meet and greet those that passed their threshold and need to do so again. Reactivation is the art of recreating the past and making it even better Have a Great Day Dr. M Postings: Dr. Joel E.
