Practice consultants would use the phrase cosmic AT&T to describe the ability to conceive patients just by thinking of them. Seems odd but there is some truth to it. For example this morning my wife .. who is sitting in at the front desk position while my CA is on vacation brought me a stack of patient cards and wondered what we can do to stimulate some reactivation. I was busy and the stack left with her but by the time the day ended over seven people either called or walked in from the stack of cards and this was without a phone call. Trust me folks there is some truth to cosmic AT&T. Scientifically it would be prudent to think that the act of thought stimulates the fact .. could be. I would rather consider that these people were at the same time thinking of us and we merged thoughts through the ionosphere similar to cell phones and they appeared. Whatever .. the lesson here is that the stack of cards was thought number one .. where are these patients number two and how can we stimulate them to return for necessary care number three. I assure you that any discussion with a veteran DC will confirm this phenomena. Lesson to be learned .. churn your stack of cards or run the computer program to see if you can reactivate and re-interest patients that sorely need your care. First by thought second by deed.
