From: Planet Chiropractic .. http://www.planetchiropractic.com THE ART OF CONVERTING NEW PATIENTS TO CHIROPRACTIC FAMILY MEMBERS "The Most Dangerous Weapon Is A Made Up Mind." Today is the day to rise up and make up your mind to improve conversion of new patients to committed, active patients, practice members or as I like to call them members of our chiropractic family. TEN STEPS TO INCREASE YOUR CONVERSIONS 1) Have absolute faith confidence and belief in your service. If you do not yet have it "act as if." Start today to utilize all the resources available to you to increase your FCB. 2) Understand that people need you more than you need them. Work on your abilities to be magnetic vs.. desperate. 3) Have a system. It must be consistent and articulate what chiropractic is, what it does, how it is unique and special. Be able to explain succinctly what it is you are offering, why they need it, what the benefits are, and what the ultimate rewards are to being so smart to do it now. It is critical that you communicate a sense of seriousness with a blend of anticipation of what the future will hold for them. They need to know they came to the right place. 4) Your systems must be smooth and flawless. You are asking them to put their life in your hands. Increase their confidence by being flawless. 5) Tell the truth, even if it makes you or them feel uncomfortable. We are talking about their life and their expression of their full potential. Do not be casual. People always find the time, energy and money for the things they consider important. If you are casual in any way they will not be committed. 6) Consistently review your purpose, read your testimonials and remember why you are a chiropractor. 7) Visualize from the first moment you see the new patient name on your book, that they are part of your chiropractic family. 8) Continually train on your communication competency. Not every patient should be communicated to in the same way. Yes, they all need the same information, but how you present it will be different. 9) Train your staff and role-play on a regular basis. 10) Take extraordinary care of your patients, whether it is their first or seven - hundredth visit. Be efficient, timely and keep paper work to a minimum. Dr. Shawn Powers provides specific individualized coaching with the focus on personalized solutions for your life and practice.
