4-5-03 .. Chiro4U@aol.com The Chiropractic Performing Arts Association is undergoing a name change to the Chiropractic Performing Arts Network to better explain our role in the performing arts field. In essence, we are a network of chiropractors that are available to work with performing artists throughout the world to enhance health through the power of chiropractic adjustments. I didn't like the "association" connotation because it sounds like we are an established non-profit group. (which we are not). Now you can refer artists to a member of our network of chiropractors. It seems much more appropriate. Please let me know if you have any ideas or concepts for the Performing Arts Network (now the CPAN). Also, just to let you know, I receive at least 5 emails per week asking about health issues in performing artists and I always refer these people to members of our network. I hope you see the results of my labors by enjoying new practice members by the referrals. NEW MARKETING STRATEGIES One other marketing strategy I am developing offers the goal of opening up lines of communications between concert venues, theatrical sites, opera halls, etc and the local CPAN member in the area. This would be a paid service where you send me one or more local venues you would like to hook up with, and I'll write letters and correspond with the venue production staff to coordinate a meeting for you to introduce yourself to them. I would charge a set fee for each venue you want to contact. The introduction letter would announce our organization, give our mission statement, introduce our web site, and let that person know the tremendous benefits of chiropractic for performing artists. Your expertise in the area of performing arts would be discussed and a there would be a recommendation that the management meet with you personally. I would do the research to find out who the contact people are and then talk with them personally to introduce you and chiropractic services. Doctors who decide to participate in this service would get additional space on the musicianshealth.com web site to give more information about themselves. I would also offer one-on-one telephone coaching calls in preparation for the meetings and follow-up calls after the meetings. I cannot guarantee your success in becoming the "venue chiropractor" but I can guarantee that you will become known to the venue management and lines of communication will be opened up. Your diligence in working and communicating with the staff and your passion for the arts will be an integral part of the success of this undertaking. Realizing that venue staff members will have their preconceived notions about chiropractic (good or bad) that together we will have to improved. My goal is to see every major venue in the U.S. and Canada have a chiropractor on-call for performing artists. If you are interested in this service, please email me. We can discuss fees and further arrangements at that time. Well that's it for now. Keep adjusting, stay passionate about our profession, and enjoy the miracles we see every day in our practices! By the way, pass this email along to anyone who you think would enjoy being a member of the performing arts network. Sincerely, Timothy Jameson, D.C.
